It has been a while since I've posted anything on this blog.  However, I just learned about this organization today.

Is one of your God-gifted talents sewing?  Then this might be something you want to look into.  Around the world, girls are trafficked because they are poor.  This organization works to clothe girls in such a way as to help reduce that risk.  Nothing fancy, they don't end up looking "rich" - they just look cared for and thus making them less at risk for being trafficked.

Our children... expendable?

A person does not have to be moved between borders to be trafficked.  They don't have to be used for sex to be considered trafficked, either.  In part, the definition of someone who is trafficked is someone who is coerced and/or forced into labor.

Would you consider your child expendable?  Can you imagine the fear these children must feel?  Their parents?  How helpless is law enforcement right now?  They do all they can and then...evil gets more creative.

Sex is a powerful motivator.  satan knows it and uses it whenever he can.  Unfortunately, it's often in the most sickening of ways.  I will never know who she is but I applaud the woman who had the courage to go to the police when she knew something about the alleged assailant was wrong.  Very wrong.  I usually avoid personal opinions in these posts but I pray for justice in this case.  This man's alleged attacks and mode of operation makes me sick to my stomach.  It is just this type of person, though, who keeps women believing they have no options once they have been prostituted.  They are told and quickly believe they are sub-human and no longer count.  Bravo to the woman who came forward first and bravo to his subsequent victims who have identified him as their assailant.

Longview, WA.  A couple of hours south.  Truth is, we don't have to go that far.  There would be so many of these cases your jaw would drop if you knew of them all.  Please...learn all you can to identify trafficking.  Most people think sex trafficking but domestic and other forms of labor trafficking actually make up 60% of the world's trafficking victims.  60% of 29 million people...  That's a lot of people doing forced or coerced labor for little to no pay.
